Defeating “cellulite” has been hard
work for a nearly 50 years for most of the specialists in Plastic
Surgery both from a clinical and surgical point of view.
The name of the disease , wrongly called “cellulite” for
a long time, does not correspond to the real process of DERMATOPATHY,
HYPODERMATOPATHY and FIBRO-EDEMATOSE SCLEROSIS of the
tissues.
Various methods have been developed in order to cure this pathology
and act on the consequent unpleasant imperfections; this condition
starts from the deepest layers of subcutaneous fats and reaches
the surface after affecting the vascular, lymphatic and nervous
structures. While undermining the structural architecture, the
disease leads to a diffused sclerosis; symptoms of edema, swollen
limbs, capillar fragility, varixes, driedpale, cyanotic skin,
lack of elasticity and an increasing pain complete the evolution
of this unpleasant condition, a taboo for most women.
What thermoinfiltration involves
This is a very simple method using the multi-injection of medicines,
taken from the ordinary pharmacopoeia, into the connective
subcutaneous tissue (this tissue 's function is to form fats)
Before injecting the medicines 0.6 - 1.5 cm. deep, they are
heated at a compatible temperature and alkalized until they
reach 7-7.4 ph. During the injection the tissues are stimulated
manually in order to lessen the pain of the injection itself,
actually making it painless.
The dynamics of the action are:
A) PHYSICAL: TEMPERATURE - B)
CHEMICAL: MEDICINE - C) MECHANICAL: INFILTRATION
TECHNIQUE.
Which parts of the body are treated with thermoinfiltration
All parts of the body affected by cellulitis, lipodistrophy
and localised adiposity can be treated: back, thighs, arms,
abdomen , legs, ankles, etc.
There are no limits to the number of treatments of thermoinfiltration;
obviously, various sittings are necessary, since whenever
the technical limits of this method are reached, treatments
have to be continued after a week or longer.
How many sittings are necessary to obtain good results
There are no limits to the amount of sittings and the frequency
of thermoinfiltrations; 8, 10 sittings once a week, every two
weeks , sometimes once a month, can solve the problem.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT, in relation to the different
evolution and degree of the pathology, patients have to undergo
a booster sitting every four, six, eight, twelve months after
the conclusion of the treatment.
Overweight and Obesity, pathologies often associated with cellulitis,
are treated simultaneously with thermoinfiltrations and a personalised
diet plan. At every sitting the patient will have a weight check.
In the evening, a few minutes of lymphodrainage using moisturizing
and circulation stimulating creams complete the treatment.
To establish the degree and type of the pathology and the duration
of the treatment, it is necessary to undergo a medical examination,
a check up, blood and urine tests, hepatic and thyroid functioning
tests, and electrocardiogram.
What results can be reached with this method
After a few sittings of thermoinfiltration and progressive
loss of weight, some relevant changes begin to appear in
the whole body but, in particular, in the treated parts where
there is not only a visible improvement of the tissues, but
also a remarkable change of the silhouette.
Thanks to this method, the patient achieves a homogenization
of the thickness of fat layers, elasticity of the skin, a surprising
improvement of both blood circulation and surface temperature
of the parts treated together with smoothness of the deepest
irregularities in the texture of the skin.
As the treatment proceeds there is a progressive rejuvenation in the most important function: blood
circulation, healthy and fit appearance.
This method offers, therefore, a simple, non-traumatic
solution,
with treatments on an outpatient basis, lasting not longer
than 30 minutes. Utilizing this system , surgical intervention
has
been avoided in an average of 90%
of the cases.
LIPOSUCTION
When the ideal weight has been reached and the pathology of
cellulitis relieved, just in very
few cases the treatment can
be complemented with micro-liposuction. A
few grams of fat tissues are eliminated, especially in some parts like trochanteric
areas, the inside of the knees and inside of the thighs, arms
and abdomen.
As a rule, this kind of operation is not necessary since the
results are obtained just using the thermoinfiltration method;
time and frequency of treatments will vary in particular zones.
Here follow the results after thermoinfiltration
therapy combined with a weight loss programme:
